Questions about the BioLynceus Organic Landscaping Program
1. How is the product applied?
Most of the BioLynceus products are available in liquid formulas which makes them easy to apply using an automatic fertigation system or a manually operated sprayer. The organic materials in our formulas are easy to spray and do not clog spraying or pumping systems. In some areas, local distributors or service providers can apply our products as a part of their organic service program.
2. How do I order the BioLynceus Biological Solutions?
We have local distributors in some areas. Furthermore, some distributors provide application services. However, if you cannot find a local distributor in your area, we can ship products direct for either you or your application or lawn care professionals to apply.
3. Will an organic program cost more?
An organic program will actually cost less than a traditional lawn care program. Over time an organic program will be more effective than traditional lawn and landscaping treatments. The price of traditional fertilizers is often more expensive becuase of the rising costs of energy and the recommended applications are more frequent, requiring more product. With an organic program, you can reduce the amount of water and supplemental chemical fertilizers applied to the soil. As the BioLynceus program is highly effective in balancing the soil food web, we caution our new users to be conservative in both their watering and fertilizing practices. Contrary to popular belief, over watering does not help a plant develop a deeper and healthier root zone. When switching to an organic program, modifying fertilizer and water regimens is essential to the success of the program. (In fact we fully anticipate you'll see a reduction of your watering requirements and save in both your water, time and chemical applications!)
4. When can I stop using the organic applications?
Consistent use of an organic program will keep th soils
and the plants healthy. While over time the soils will improve and the plant
health will improve, the application of the organics will keep the microbial
life in the soil healthy and vital. We recommend a gradual reduction of product
applications as your soil returns to a healthy balance. An organic program
should not be considered a "one-time-fix." The organic program is a maintenance
program that can reduce chemical use, while improving plant and soil health.
5. How will I know the products are working?
it is advisable to take both a soil sample and a root zone core sample and conduct a soil compaction test. The soil data will provide a benchmark that can be re-evaluated as the program is implemented and utilized over a longer period of time. There will not be an immediate "greening-up" like most nitrogen based fertilizers. Over time the health of the plant, the root zone and the landscape will have improved health that can be traced through the data collected early in the set-up of the program. We recommend follow-up sampling tests to continue to measure and monitor the changes in the landscaping.
5. When is the application administered?
We recommend an initial application to inoculate the soil. At least four weeks later an additional application needs to be made to continue replenishing the microbial balance within the soil. A typical application cycle is late fall, early spring, and two applications during the summer approximately two months apart.
